HDFC Bank Makes Interest Rate Revision On FDs of Less Than Rs. 2 Cr (W.e.f. 20th April 2022)

HDFC Bank, a private sector lender, has revised interest rates on fixed deposits and recurring deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. According to the bank's official website, the new interest rates are effective today, April 20, 2022, and the bank is promising an interest rate of 2.50 percent - 5.60 percent to the general public and 3.00 percent - 6.35 percent to senior citizens on deposits maturing in 7 days to 10 years as a result of the revision.

HDFC Bank Regular FD Rates

The bank is giving a regular 2.50 percent interest rate on fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 Cr maturing in 7 to 29 days. The general public will get a 3.00 percent interest rate on fixed deposits maturing in 30 to 90 days. Regular customers can now earn 3.50 percent and 4.40 percent on term deposits maturing in 91 days - 6 months and 6 months 1 day - 1 year, respectively. Term deposits maturing in 1 year to 2 years will now generate an interest rate of 5.10 percent, while fixed deposits maturing in 2 years 1 day to 3 years will pay an interest rate of 5.20 percent. Regular customers will get an interest rate of 5.45 percent and 5.60 percent on fixed deposits maturing in 3 years 1 day - 5 years and 5 years 1 day - 10 years, respectively.

HDFC Bank FD Rates For Senior Citizens

HDFC Bank provides an additional rate of 0.50 percent over and above the standard rate on deposits maturing in 7 days to 5 years for older persons. Whereas on HDFC Bank's "Senior Citizen Care FD" of 5 years 1 day - 10 years, senior citizens would receive an additional premium of 0.25 percent over and above the regular premium of 0.50 percent. Senior Citizen Care FD was launched on the 18th of May'20 and the additional interest rate benefit will be in effect till the 30th of September 2022.
