In an effort to increase deposits, IndusInd Bank Limited, which has been revolutionising banking for the past 30 years, has updated its savings account interest rates for customers. The latest interest rates for savings accounts go into effect on March 1, 2025, according to IndusInd Bank's official website. Interest rates for domestic and non-resident (NRO/NRE) savings bank accounts can reach 7% after the adjustment, and they are applied as flat rates on the total balance held.

"Understanding the prevailing interest rates on savings accounts can help you with effective financial management. As of March 1st 2025, the rates offered on IndusInd Bank's Savings Accounts in India vary based on the daily balance maintained, catering to domestic and Non-Resident Individuals (NRO/NRE)," mentioned IndusInd Bank on its website.

On savings accounts with daily balances up to Rs 1 lakh, the bank is now offering an interest rate of 3.00% and on savings accounts with daily balances above Rs 1 lakh up to Rs 5 lakhs, the bank is offering a 3.50% interest rate. On a savings account with a daily balance above Rs 5 lakh up to Rs 10 Lakhs. IndusInd Bank is now offering an interest rate of 5.00% and on savings accounts with daily balances above Rs. 10 Lakh upto Rs. 100 Crs, the bank is now offering an interest rate of 7.00%.

"Savings account interest rates are calculated by multiplying the daily balance in the account by the applicable annual interest rate and then dividing by the number of days in the year. The resulting amount represents the interest earned," mentioned IndusInd Bank on its website.
It's simple and completely paperless to open a savings account with IndusInd Bank. Just select your preferred account number, fill out the necessary details, make deposits as per the minimum balance requirement, and finish the virtual KYC verification.
Meanwhile, interest rates on fixed deposits under Rs 3 Cr were recently modified by IndusInd Bank. The latest and most recent FD rates offered by IndusInd Bank are effective as of 24.02.2025. IndusInd Bank now offers interest rates between 3.50% and 7.00% for tenures ranging from 7 days to 61 months and beyond. At IndusInd Bank, term deposits with maturities of one to two years will provide a maximum interest rate of 7.75% for the general public and 8.25% for senior citizens.
With 3063 branches and banking locations and 2993 ATMs, IndusInd Bank provides services to almost 42 million customers as of December 31, 2024, covering 1,60,000 villages throughout India. The bank has a CRISIL A1+ rating for its certificate of deposit program and short-term FD program, and a CARE A1+ rating for its certificate of deposits.
