Rs 12.90/Share Dividend: Midcap Shipping Stock Declares Dividend, Sets Record Date On Aug 16

Midcap Shipping company, The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. today declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 12.90 per share to the equity shareholders of the company. This declared dividend of Rs 12.90 per share includes a special dividend of Rs 7.50 per share declared to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company.

The Board has also fixed the Record Date for the declared dividend on Wednesday, Aug 16, 2023. The company has a market cap of Rs 11,812.43 Crore.

"The Board has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 12.90 per share to the equity shareholders of the Company. This includes special dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share to commemorate 75th anniversary of the Company. The 'Record Date' fixed for the purpose of ascertaining the shareholders eligible for receiving interim dividend is August 16, 2023. The interim dividend will be paid to the shareholders on or after August 29, 2023," the Board said in an exchange filing.

On Thursday, the stock of The Great Eastern Shipping closed 1.80% higher at Rs 803.75 per share on BSE. It hit an intraday high of Rs 808.50 and an intraday low of Rs 787.55 on BSE.

The stock has gained 5.60% in 1 week. In 3 months, it jumped 20.63% and in 6 months, it jumped 25%. It delivered 56.14% in 1 year, 135.91% in 2 years, 220.73% in 3 years, and 148.99% in 5 years, respectively.

The stock hits 52-week high at Rs 819.85 per share on July 14, 2023, and its 52-week low at Rs 478.70 per share on Sept 26, 2022.
