The year 2022 has ended and now we are heading towards the Financial Year 2022-23 end. Now it's time for retrospection as well as time to move ahead with positive expectations. As we approach the last quarter of FY 2022-23, the search for tax-saving instruments is rising. ELSS or Equity-Linked Savings Scheme is one tax saving instrument that offers both returns as well as tax savings. One such fund is Kotak Tax Saver Scheme.
Kotak Tax Saving Scheme is an ELSS Fund from the house of Kotak Mahindra Mutual Funds, launched on 23 November 2005 (Regular Plan) and 1 January 2013 (Direct Plan). The fund has 98.69% asset allocation in equity and the rest 1.31% in cash & other receivable instruments.
Investment Objective of the Fund
The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of equity and equity-related securities and enable investors to avail of the income tax rebate, as permitted from time to time. Investments in this scheme would be subject to a statutory lock-in of 3 years from the date of allotment to avail of Section 80C benefits. The portfolio is generally diversified across sectors and market capitalization segments.
