The name of the fund is Quant Small Cap Fund. It is a 27-year-old equity small-cap fund launched by the Quant Mutual Fund on November 25, 1996. It is a medium-sized open-ended fund in its category. Mr Ankit Pande, Mr Vasav Sahgal, and Mr Sanjeev Sharma are fund managers of the Quant Small Cap Fund. The fund has been rated 5-star by CRISIL and 3 Star by Value Research.

Starting investments in this fund require a minimum of Rs 5,000 for lump-sum payments and Rs 1,000 for SIPs. A minimum of Rs 1000 is needed to make additional investments in this vehicle. In this fund, there is no applicable lock-in period. For redemption within 365 days of investing, there is a 1% fee. NIFTY Smallcap 250 is the fund's benchmark.
Fund's Suitability & Objectives
By investing in smallcap companies, this strategy aims for capital growth. For those wishing to invest money for at least three to four years and seeking extremely high returns, this scheme is best suited for them. However, investors need to be prepared for the risk of greater losses on their assets.
According to the Quant Mutual Fund, "The primary investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate capital appreciation & provide long-term growth opportunities by investing in a portfolio of Small-Cap companies. There is no assurance that the investment objective of the Scheme will be realized."
