The next Kerala lottery will be announced on Sunday as per the schedule. However, there is no clarity on whether the Karunya KR 765 lottery will be declared on Sunday, August 16. On the official website, Kerala Lotteries Net said there is no draw on Saturday, August 15, for Independence Day.

Kerala Karunya KR is part of the state's weekly lotteries and is announced every Saturday. The first prize winner gets Rs 1 crore. Notably, Kerala lotteries are one of the biggest state lotteries in India.

All About Kerala Karunya Lottery:

Karunya lottery ticket has 10 prizes, including a consolation prize. The first prize winner gets 1 crore rupees, and the second and third prizes are 25 lakhs and 10 lakhs, respectively. A total of 654,506 prizes were given to the winners. 10% of the first- to third-prize amounts will be deducted, and the remainder will be given to the agents (who sell the winning tickets) by the lottery agency. For the 5th to 9th and consolation prizes, 10% of the prize amount (agent's commission) will be deducted from the government-allotted fund, as per Kerala Lotteries Net.

While the lottery department has not clarified whether the Karunya KR 765 lottery will be announced on August 16, which is on Sunday.

However, lottery buyers know that Sunday is a fixed date for another of Kerala's weekly lotteries called "Samrudhi SM."

There is a consolation prize of Rs 5,000, while the fourth and fifth prizes are at Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000. Also, the 6th prize is of Rs 1,000, the 7th prize of Rs 500, followed by the 8th and 9th prizes at Rs 200 and Rs 100.

Just like Karunya, Samrudhi lotteries are also different. The first and second prize in Samrudhi is similar at Rs 1 crore and Rs 25 lakh, but the third prize is just Rs 5 lakh.

Other prizes are the same as well, such as the consolation prize of Rs 5,000; 4th prize of Rs 5,000; 5th prize of Rs 2,000; 6th prize of Rs 1,000; 7th prize of Rs 500; 8th prize of Rs 200; and 9th prize of Rs 100.

In the weekday lotteries like Bhagyathara, Sthree Sakthi, Dhanalekhsmi, Karunya Plus, and Suvarna Keralam, the first prize is Rs 1 crore, but the second and third prizes are Rs 30 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. Rest is similar.

Samrudhi's lottery ticket has 10 prizes, including a consolation prize. The first-prize winner received 1 crore rupees, and the second and third prizes were 25 lakhs and 5 lakhs, respectively. A total of 654,506 prizes were given to the winners. 12% of the first- to third-prize amounts will be deducted, and the remainder will be given to the agents (who sell the winning tickets) by the lottery agency. How To Claim Kerala Lottery Prizes?

Lucky winners can claim their prizes from Kerala lottery shops, or banks or the state government's lottery department. However, the claiming process varies in winning amount. Notably, if your winning prize is below Rs 5,000, then you can claim your prize from any Kerala lottery shops. But if the winning amount is above Rs 5,000, then the process requires extra steps.

Meanwhile, above Rs 5,000 lottery prizes can be claimed by submitting the winning ticket at designated banks or state department. A list of documents will also be required to be submitted along with the tickets.

1. A claim application along with a Photostat copy of both sides of the ticket, self-attested.

2. Two passport-size photographs of the prize-winner duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Notary.

3. A receipt for the prize money in the prescribed form, affixing a revenue stamp worth Rs.1/- with the full address of the prize winner (download).

4. If the prize winner is a minor, a Guardianship certificate from a competent authority.

5. In case of joint claims, one of the prize-winners should be authorized to receive the prize money and a 'Joint Declaration' in stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- should be executed.

6. Self-attested copies of the PAN Card.

7. Attested document to prove identity ( Attested copy of Ration Card, Driving License, Passport, Election ID Card, etc.)

As per Kerala Lotteries Net, the prize-winner of a lottery shall surrender the prize-winning ticket within 90 days of the draw with all necessary documents.
