LPG gas cylinder prices for domestic use are hiked by Rs 29 across cities in India with effect from June 7, 2026. This is the second hike in domestic LPG cylinders since US-Iran tensions flared. That said, the most expensive 14.2 kg LPG is above Rs 1,031 in Patna, while LPG is cheapest in cities like Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur, as here prices are below the Rs 950 mark. The 14.2 kg LPG cylinders, which are used widely by Indian households, are hiked by Rs 29 per cylinder across cities.

Highest LPG Prices In India
Among cities, in Patna, LPG is most expensive at Rs 1,031.50 per cylinder, followed by Hyderabad, where the price is at Rs 994 per cylinder. Furthermore, LPG is also costlier at Rs 979.50 per cylinder in Lucknow, while 14.2 kg LPG is at Rs 968 each in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
Also, LPG is above the Rs 950 mark in cities like Chennai at Rs 957.50, in Chandigarh at Rs 951.50, in Thiruvananthapuram at Rs 951 per cylinder, and in Gurgaon at Rs 950.50.
Lowest LPG Prices In India
LPG is the cheapest in Bengaluru at Rs 915 per cylinder, followed by Noida at Rs 939.50 per cylinder, Mumbai at Rs 941.50 per cylinder, Delhi at Rs 942 per cylinder, and Jaipur at Rs 945.50 per cylinder.
The latest hike follows the sharp increase of Rs 60 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder on March 7th. Notably, unlike the 14.2 kg LPG cylinders, the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders have been hiked for the fifth consecutive time in less than four months.

19 kg LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked In June 2026
The domestic LPG cylinder price hike on June 7th follows the hike in 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder prices by OMCs on June 1, 2026. Since the start of this month, the 19 kg LPG price increased by Rs 42 in Delhi, the lowest hike among other cities. Conversely, the highest hike is by Rs 53.50 in Kolkata, followed by a Rs 46 per-cylinder hike in Chennai. In Mumbai, the commercial LPG is up by Rs 43.5 per cylinder.
At present, a single 19 Kg LPG cylinder is priced at Rs 3,113.50 in Delhi, at Rs 3,067.50 in Mumbai, at Rs 3,283 in Chennai and at Rs 3,255.5 per cylinder in Kolkata.
Indane Gas, BharatGas, HP Gas Booking Advisory
Here are a host of advisories that the government has asked Indian citizens to follow when booking LPG cylinders.
1. Citizens are advised to avoid panic purchases of petrol, diesel and LPG as the government is making all efforts to ensure availability of petrol, diesel and LPG.
2. Beware of rumours and rely on official sources for correct information.
3. LPG consumers are requested to use digital booking platforms and avoid visiting distributors.
4. Citizens are encouraged to use alternate fuels such as PNG and electric or induction cooktops.
5. Bulk and industrial consumers are requested to procure diesel from authorized procurement channel.
6. All citizens are requested to make necessary efforts to conserve energy in their daily use during the current situation.
LPG Cylinders Booking Rules Of 25-Days & 45-Days:
Furthermore, since the onset of US-Iran war, the government has revised certain rules for booking LPG cylinders. One of them is the lock-in period revision. Earlier, LPG booking intervals period was 21-days. This is increased to 25-days for urban area customers and to 45-days for rural area customers.
