National Farmers Day 2025: PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Alert! When Will You Get Next Rs 2,000 Payment In 2026?

National Farmers Day 2025: On the auspicious celebration of Kisan Divas on December 23. In India, Farmers Day is observed to honor the country's hard-working farmers who contribute to the economy heavily with their agriculture. That being said, the Indian government over time has also introduced various schemes for farmers, offering them opportunities for their irrigation and farming. One of the most popular farmer schemes in India is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi or popularly known as PM Kisan.

PM Kisan 22nd Instalment:

PM Kisan has been active in India, offering a financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible farmer families. However, this Rs 6,000 annual amount is distributed in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The amount is delivered to farmers' Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts through DBT mode.

Typically, PM Kisan is focused on curbing the financial needs of the small and marginal farmers by procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of each crop cycle.

Earlier in October 2025, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government debited the 21st instalment of PM Kisan scheme. Nearly 9 crore farmers benefited through the 21st instalment worth Rs 18,000 crore.

The next would be 22nd instalment in PM Kisan. In general terms, the government provides the Rs 2,000 financial support of PM Kian every four months which is April-July, August-November and December-March.

The 21st instalment was debited through direct benefit transfer (DBT) on November 19, 2025, following the 20th and 19th instalment on August 2nd and February 24th.

Accordingly, many reports have stated that PM KISAN 22nd instalment could be delivered in the last quarter of FY26 (January to March) or early 2026. However, it needs to be noted that the government is yet to announce the official date to deliver the 22nd instalment under PM Kisan.

Who Is Eligible For PM Kisan Scheme?

All landholding farmers' families, which have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to get benefit under the scheme.
