New Post Office e-KYC Update For Savings Account, RD & Sukanya Samriddhi Account Holder: All You Need To Know
A fresh new update is here for Millions of Post Office customers as the Department of Posts has introduced a new Aadhaar-based e-KYC paperless transaction facility that will help eligible customers to deposit and withdraw money without filling out traditional paper forms at branch post offices.

The new facility is available for Post Office Savings Account, Recurring Deposit (RD) and Sukanya Samriddhi Account holders who have completed Aadhaar e-KYC.
New Post Office e-KYC Update
According to the latest update, eligible customers can now carry out certain transactions using Aadhaar authentication at branch post offices without submitting physical forms.
The Department of Posts has enabled a paperless transaction process where customers can authenticate themselves with the help of Aadhaar-based e-KYC and complete deposits and withdrawals directly at the counter.
Post Office Accounts That Are Covered
The new Aadhaar-based e-KYC facility is currently available for Post Office Savings Account Post Office Recurring Deposit, & the Sukanya Samriddhi Account.
Deposit And Withdrawal Limits Under The New Facility
The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of paperless deposits and withdrawals within specified limits.
Customers can now make deposits of up to Rs 50,000 through Aadhaar-authenticated paperless transactions at branch post offices.
For Post Office Savings Account holders, paperless withdrawals of up to Rs 20,000 are also permitted using Aadhaar authentication.
However, transactions above these limits will continue to follow the existing process, requiring physical forms and approvals from the concerned accounts office.
Who Can Use The New e-KYC Facility?
The facility is available only to those customers who have completed Aadhaar-based e-KYC and meet the authentication requirements as prescribed by the Department of Posts.
Customers must have their Aadhaar details properly linked and verified to avail of paperless transactions through branch post offices.
The service has been brought in place mainly for daily transactions and frequent account holders who regularly visit post office counters for deposits and withdrawals.
