After the cash withdrawal charges at ATMs have been streamlined as per RBI's guidelines, there is an individual hike by banks. Now the latest hike is by HDFC Bank in respect of its insta-alerts i.e. for transaction alerts to bank's customers. The charges have been hiked for alerts via both emails and SMS.

Likewise, as per the bank's website the new revised Insta-alert charges via Email and SMS is as though:
If a customer was paying Rs. 3 per quarter for InstaAlert SMS service, now the payout for a similar service shall be at only 20 paise plus GST for every SMS.
The email alert shall however remain free.

On net banking you need to log in to your account
On the top you will find Instaalerts options
Then after you land on this page, you will be asked which account you want to subscribe to or de-register the services. Choose the relevant option or alerts that you wish to go by considering the fees.
Later confirm, you will get a notification for your set alerts.
