1. eKYC is mandatory!

As per the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare guidelines, eKYC is mandatory to ensure the benefit of the PM KISAN scheme reaches the intended beneficiaries in their AAadhaar-seededbank accounts without involvement of any middlemen.

2. Farmer ID Compulsory In Some States

Some states, like Uttar Pradesh, have made it mandatory that farmers who have registered through 'Kisan Registry' portal need to get a 12-digit Farmer ID. If this is not available, then the benefit could be withheld.

3. Aadhaar-Bank Account Linking Mandatory

The government transfers each installment under PM Kisan through direct bank transfer (DBT), which can be done only if your bank account is linked with Aadhaar. In simple words, linking Aadhaar with Bank account is mandatory.

Step 2: A form will appear! You will have to fill all the necessary details in the form. Among the information also includes seeding an Aadhaar card and bank account details. Ensure you have mentioned both Aadhaar card number and bank account number accurately.

Step 3: These details will be verified via Aadhaar-based eKYC (OTP/biometric). Once the process is completed you will receive a confirmation on your registered mobile number.

4. Farm Land Must Be Verified

Your farm land should be verified and for that you have to ensure your Khasra-Khatauni records are maintained with revenue department of India.
