Benchmark indices are trading with modest gains on Friday morning. Around 9:32 am, the Sensex was up 101 points, or 0.14%, at 74,415, while the Nifty 50 gained 25 points, or 0.11%, to trade at 23,296.
The modest gains came after a mixed close in the previous trading session. On Thursday, the Sensex declined 21.86 points, or 0.03%, to close at 74,314.59, while the Nifty 50 gained 53 points, or 0.23%, to settle at 23,270.60.

Around 95 companies are scheduled to trade ex-dividend today including Victoria Mills, Sharda Motor Industries, Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals, Gujarat Intrux, Creative Castings, Lakshmi Mills Company and several other companies.
