Surya Grahan: April 8 is going to mark the first Solar Eclipse of the year. Although it won't be visible in India, however, as per the Hindu calendar, full-grahan will occur at 9.12 pm on Monday and will remain till 2.22 am. The eclipse will be seen at full scale across North America, and passing over the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Here's what Nebula pointed out for various Zodiac signs who may see financial, intellectual or professional transformation due to the eclipse:

1. Aries ( born between March 21 - April 19): The total solar eclipse on April 8 is occurring in Aries, encouraging us to initiate, be bold, and embrace a pioneering spirit. As per Nebula, the influence of the eclipse will guide people born in Aries with an understanding of primary goals and wishes for the near future, helping in identifying crucial steps for success.

Further, as per Nebula, the eclipse positioning suggests a significant personal transformation. It will affect one's appearance, self-image and individual ambitions.

2. Taurus (April 20 - May 20): For them, the eclipse is encouraging spiritual reflection, and introspection, potentially leading to significant insights or a desire for solitude.

3. Gemini (May 21 - June 20): It is expected that people born in Gemini may see changes in social circles or new community-focused projects during this eclipse.

4. Cancer (June 21 - July 22): The solar eclipse can mark a pivotal point in professional life, potentially launching a new career path or public role.

All About Solar Eclipse 2024:

As per NASA, the April 8, 2024, eclipse will be a total solar eclipse. It will be the last total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States until 2044.

What is a total solar eclipse? NASA explains that a total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. People viewing the eclipse from locations where the Moon's shadow completely covers the Sun - known as the path of totality - will experience a total solar eclipse. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.

It added, that weather permitting, people along the path of totality will see the Sun's corona, or outer atmosphere, which is usually obscured by the bright face of the Sun.

Where and when? According to NASA, the first location in continental North America that will experience totality is Mexico's Pacific coast at around 11:07 a.m. PDT.

The path of the eclipse continues from Mexico, entering the United States in Texas, and travelling through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The eclipse will enter Canada in Southern Ontario, and continue through Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. The eclipse will exit continental North America on the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada, at 5:16 p.m. NDT.

Safety Rules: Except during the brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun's bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing, NASA added.

Also, NASA highlighted that viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.

Accordingly, NASA stated that when watching the partial phases of the solar eclipse directly with your eyes, which happens before and after totality, you must look through safe solar viewing glasses ("eclipse glasses") or a safe handheld solar viewer at all times. You can also use an indirect viewing method, such as a pinhole projector.​
