Any Queries On Income Tax or Tax Returns? Here Are Helplines For Taxpayers
An individual tax payer can come across many queries or confusion regarding his income tax returns or may have any grievance regarding the issue.
Many of them will not be aware on how to proceed and whom to contact for such queries. To meet taxpayers needs and attend taxpayer queries, the income tax department has come up with helplines which will solve taxpayers queries or issue or provide guidance on the procedure.
To avail, this one has to make a call to respective department depending on the type of queries.
Here are helplines for taxpayers
1) Aaykar Seva Kendra
Aaykar Seva Kendra is a new initiative from Income tax department, which aims to attend taxpayers issue. For any general queries and queries related to Income Tax, PAN, or Tan can contact the number 18001801961/1961.
2) For queries related to PAN/TAN updation
There are instances when an individuals apply for PAN card and would have not recieved any information on the same. In such cases, having any query regarding PAN updation can contact this number +912027218080 or check www.tin-nsdl.com website for more details.
3) e-Filing of Income Tax Return
Some times Login may not work due to some technical error or sue to any mistake. For queries and doubts regarding e-Filing Login, one can contact these two numbers. Make sure you make a call only between 9 am to 8 am from Monday to Saturday.

4) Refund/Refund re-issue/Rectification

5) TDS Centralised Processing Centre (TRACES)

6) Tax Return Preparer Scheme (TRP Scheme)
One can contact for queries regarding locating TRPs, register for the home visit. The toll-free number will be available between 9 am to 6 pm for 6 days a week.
