While the new Aadhaar app will handle most Aadhaar-related tasks, updating your Aadhaar-registered mobile number will still require an in-person visit. This is because mobile number linking is highly sensitive and demands biometric verification to prevent misuse.
To update your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, you must:

1. Visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
2. Fill out the correction/update form.
3. Provide your biometrics for verification.
4. After successful verification, the new number is linked within a few days.

As per reports, the pilot testing of the new Aadhaar app has already been completed. Based on user feedback, UIDAI is fine-tuning the platform.
