Want to access EPFO? Activate your UAN Online And Unlock All PF Services!

If you're working in an organization or have just started your job, then you must be contributing to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF). To access and manage your EPF account online, it's important to have an active Universal Account Number (UAN).

What Is A UAN?

UAN is a 12-digit number given to you by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). It is approved by the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Your employer creates your UAN when you join a company.

Every time you change your job, your new employer gives you a new Member ID for your PF account. But your UAN stays the same. It helps connect all your PF accounts in one place, so you can easily check, manage, and transfer your money.

Once your UAN is generated and linked with your EPF account, your employer usually provides you with the details. But to use EPFO's online services, you must first activate your UAN. Without activation, you won't be able to access or manage your EPF account online.

Once your UAN is created and linked to your PF account, your employer will give you the details. But to use any EPF service, you have to activate your UAN online. Without activation, you can't use the EPFO website or app to manage your account.

How To Activate UAN Number Online?

You have to keep your Aadhaar number ready. You also need to keep your mobile phone nearby as you will get a one-time password (OTP) as an SMS message there.

• Go to the official EPF website epfindia.gov.in
• Then go to Our Services >> For Employees >> Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)
• The click will lead to a page that provides different services offered by the EPFO.
• Click on Activate UAN under the Important Links section.
• Now enter your UAN number, PF member ID, Aadhaar number.
• Also, enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and CAPTCHA code.
• Click on the Agree checkbox.
• Next, click on Get Authorization PIN. A verification PIN will be sent to your mobile number linked with EPFO.
• Enter this PIN and click on Validate OTP and Activate UAN.

This will activate your UAN. After that, you'll get a message on your registered mobile number with your UAN and a temporary password. You can now log in to your EPF account using these details. After logging in for the first time, you'll need to change your password. Once that's done, you can use the EPFO website to check your PF balance, make withdrawals, and manage other PF-related services.
