The Annapurna Bhandar Yojana has replaced the TMC-backed Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, increasing the financial assistance from the earlier benefits of Rs 1,000-Rs 1,500 under Lakshmi Bhandar.
Annapurna Bhandar August Payment Timeline
The beneficiaries of the Annapurna Bhandara scheme are expected to receive the payment for the month of August in the first week itself as per the usual schedule.
The successfully verified beneficiaries of the Annapurna Bhandar yojna will receive Rs. 3000 per month assistance.
How to Check the Payment Status
For those who are wondering if they received money in their bank account, they can check the credit status by following the steps below.
Log in to West Bengal's Social Security Portal and select the Track Applicant Status option. You need to enter your registered mobile number, application ID, and Aadhaar number.
So far in the 1st instalment on the 3rd of June, Rs. 3000 was credited to 2,825,769 women. Meanwhile, the 2nd instalment was credited on the 1st of July at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata; coverage reached 1 crore beneficiaries.
What to Do If the Money Isn't Credited to Your Bank Account
If you have already filled the form but are yet to receive any kind of payment, you must check the application status first. If the status is "Under Inquiry," that means that verification is still pending and no payment has been done yet. If it is under processing, then the application is being processed. If the status shows Payment Processing, then it is approved, and the amount should be credited soon. And lastly, if the status shows rejected, which means you won't receive payment until the issue is fixed and resubmitted,
Other common reasons why money doesn't come through could be due to the following issues:
- People having a joint bank account instead of a single-holder personal account
- If you have uploaded a blurry, cropped document during scans
- If there is a Mismatched spelling between Aadhaar and the application form
- If you have applied through an unofficial website instead of the government portal
- Ignored an "invalid bank account" status instead of fixing Aadhaar seeding
- Bank account is not Aadhaar-seeded or not DBT-enabled
- If your name has been removed during the verification/re-checking drive
