Blue Cloud Softech Solutions and Byte Eclipse Sign $15 Million MoU for Edge AI Chips Development

Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BCSSL) and Byte Eclipse, a US-based IoT firm, have signed a $15 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to create Edge AI Chips for the oil and gas sector. BCSSL's commitment to offering advanced, cost-effective solutions to improve industrial processes is evident through this collaboration.

Following the announcement, BCSSL's shares experienced a significant rise on the BSE. On Wednesday afternoon, the stock was trading at Rs 28.66 per share, hitting the 20% upper circuit limit. The stock opened at Rs 25.24 and reached an intraday high of Rs 28.66. By 11:55 a.m. IST on October 29, it was trading at Rs 28.45, marking a 19.09% increase from the previous close.

The collaboration focuses on developing Edge AI chips that facilitate real-time data processing and decision-making on-site for critical applications like Predictive Maintenance (PdM). These chips are designed to tackle challenges in the oil and gas sector, such as harsh environments, remote locations, and the need for secure operations.

The first phase of this $15 million project is expected to be completed in 18 months. Subsequent phases aim to expand the solution globally. "These chips will address the unique challenges of the O&G sector," stated Blue Cloud Softech Solutions in a stock exchange filing.
