Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Signs $150 Million Technology Transfer Agreement with Israeli Firm for EdgeAI Chips

Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BCSSL) has entered into a Technology Ownership Transfer (ToT) Agreement with an Israeli tech firm. This collaboration aims to develop edgeAI chips, which are advanced semiconductor systems designed for industrial automation and AIoT applications. The agreement is valued at around USD 150 million, supporting India's "Aatma Nirbhar Bharat" initiative by enhancing domestic semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.

BCSSL Partners with Israel for EdgeAI Chips

BCSSL is actively negotiating with leading Indian semiconductor manufacturers to ensure large-scale local production of these chips. This move aligns with their five-year strategic investment plan, which includes technology integration, product development, and manufacturing setup in India. The plan also involves revenue sharing with the Israeli partner for intellectual property rights and hardware design transfer.

The USD 150 million agreement outlines BCSSL's comprehensive strategy for technology ownership and intellectual property control in India. BCSSL will manage the entire software stack, including system firmware, AI middleware, and application frameworks. Meanwhile, the Israeli company will provide essential hardware architecture and reference design under this partnership.

This ToT agreement is a crucial step in BCSSL's strategy to enhance India's semiconductor and AI hardware capabilities. By developing both design and software layers domestically, it strengthens India's role in the global semiconductor value chain. The five-year investment plan also includes infrastructure development, R&D growth, and collaboration with Indian semiconductor manufacturing ecosystems for pilot and commercial production.

In addition to the current USD 15 million partnership with Byte Eclipse for integrating Edge AI chips in the oil and gas sector, BCSSL is involved in several industrial projects in defense, energy, and industrial AIoT sectors. These initiatives highlight BCSSL's commitment to expanding its influence in various industries through advanced technology solutions.

Janaki Yarlagadda, Chairman of BCSSL, stated, "The signing of this USD 150 million ToT with our Israel-based partner is a defining moment in BCSSL's journey toward building India's sovereign semiconductor capability. This initiative not only localizes the entire technology stack - from silicon design to firmware development - but also symbolizes our deep commitment to the vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat."

Market Response and Future Prospects

The collaboration merges Israel's expertise in chip design with BCSSL's leadership in AI software. This synergy creates a world-class edgeAI semiconductor platform catering to industrial, defense, and critical infrastructure needs globally. Janaki Yarlagadda further added that this partnership extends BCSSL's reach beyond existing contracts like Byte Eclipse, positioning it as a key player in semiconductor innovation and AI hardware integration.

Following the announcement of this agreement, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions' shares opened at Rs 29.78 on the BSE on Tuesday, November 4. They rose by 9.23% to reach an intraday high of Rs 32.53 from the previous close. At the time of writing, the company's market capitalization exceeded Rs 1,395 Cr.
