The first LOA, worth Rs 82.56 lakh, was awarded by South East Central Railway. It involves telecom and signalling work for station development at Nainpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, and Mandlafort stations in the Nagpur Division. On the same day, MIC Electronics announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chipex Technologies Private Limited. This partnership aims to develop innovative semiconductor solutions. MIC will act as the OEM partner while Chipex will be responsible for chip development. Together, they plan to create custom silicon solutions aligned with MIC's product roadmap.

The collaboration focuses on using co-developed custom chips instead of standard components. This approach is expected to enhance system performance and energy efficiency while ensuring product uniqueness and supply stability over time. The MoU also sets the stage for future project-specific agreements.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Hyderabad, MIC Electronics Limited specialises in telecommunications equipment, LED lights, and LED video displays. The company has expanded its reach to markets in the USA and Australia. It also provides railway solutions such as signalling systems and passenger information systems alongside consumer products.

Both orders from Indian Railways were secured through a tender process and are domestic in nature. The company clarified that these orders do not involve related-party transactions, nor do its promoters or promoter group have any interest in the awarding entities.

This strategic move underscores MIC's commitment to innovation and competitiveness in global markets. By focusing on custom chip development, MIC aims to enhance its product offerings and maintain a competitive edge internationally.
