Nuvama Wealth Announces 1:5 Stock Split to Boost Liquidity Ahead of Record Date December 26, 2025

Retail investors tracking Nuvama Wealth Management Limited now have clearer timelines, as the company has confirmed the record date for its planned stock split. The split aims to improve trading liquidity and make individual shares easier to buy. Shareholders who hold the stock on the set record date will qualify for additional shares, while the total investment value for each investor stays unchanged.

The Board and shareholders had already cleared the proposal for a 1:5 stock split through a postal ballot on December 7, 2025. This corporate action reduces the face value per share while increasing the number of shares in circulation. The company expects this change to support broader participation from smaller investors in the secondary market.

"We wish to inform you that pursuant to Regulation 42 of the Listing Regulations, the Company has fixed Friday, December 26, 2025, as the Record Date for the purpose of determining the eligibility of Members for the sub-division / Split of 1 (one) equity share of face value of Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten) each, fully paid-up, into 5 (five) equity shares of face value of Rs. 2/- (Rupees Two) each, fully paid-up as approved by the Members of the Company through Postal Ballot on December 7, 2025," said Nuvama Wealth in a stock exchange filing.

Under this 1:5 split, every existing equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will split into five shares with a face value of Rs 2 each. The economic interest of shareholders remains the same, but the quoted market price per share generally adjusts lower in line with the new face value. The company expects the lower unit price to attract more retail participation and support liquidity.

Along with the change in face value, the stock split also alters Nuvama Wealth’s share capital structure. The number of issued, subscribed and paid-up shares will increase, while total paid-up capital in rupee terms remains unchanged. The authorised share capital also expands to accommodate the larger number of equity units after the split.

Nuvama Wealth stock split technical view and targets

Alongside the corporate action, market participants are tracking price behaviour in Nuvama Wealth shares. Technical analysts are assessing whether the stock can extend earlier gains or remain range-bound near recent levels. Near-term trading zones and key support points are receiving close attention from short-term traders and positional investors.

"The stock appears to be consolidating after a strong rally, with price action forming a stable base near ₹6,950-7,020. Momentum remains moderately positive, indicating buyers are holding on dips. A breakout above ₹7,250-7,300 could rekindle upward move. Near-term targets: ₹7,450-7,600. Trend stays intact unless price slips below ₹6,950," commented technical analyst Riyank Arora of Mehta Equities Ltd.

For equity investors, the stock split does not change the underlying fundamentals of Nuvama Wealth Management Limited. However, the lower trading price per share and higher number of units may influence trading volumes and participation from smaller investors. Market reactions around the record date and subsequent listing of split shares will indicate how participants price in this corporate action.
