How To Check EPF Balance Through Mobile SMS?
To make UAN facility more attractive, EPFO started SMS based balance-checking facility.
Now, you don't need to login to the EPFO portal and provide details. SMS based UAN activation facility is useful for those who know how to use the smartphone and M-epf app.
This facility is available to those who have activated their UAN number. To get EPF balance status by SMS, the member should use only your UAN registered mobile number.
Number
The user has to send SMS to 7738299899. Once it is activated, then the members will receive the alerts such as credit alerts, passbooks, etc.
SMS format
The message format should be like; EPFOHO UAN . Here LAN refers to first three letters of the preferred language. If it is English, you can send SMS as EPFOHO UAN .
Language
You can receive the balance in different languages. Currently, EPFO provides an option to receive SMS in 10 languages. Following are the allowed languages to receive SMS:

Hindi: HIN
Malayalam: MAL
Telugu: TEL
Panjabi: PUN

UAN
