Through Aadhaar website

An individual can log into the Aadhaar website and request for a change in the name. This process will be verified using a one-time password on the phone number registered with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)

Through OTP

Many women got married and changed their surnames. For them, a One Time Password will be used to modify the name. The OTP will be sent to their Aadhaar registered mobile number. Income tax E-filing portal

The income tax department has started an option in the e-filing portal through which taxpayers can choose to link the Aadhaar without changing the name by opting for a One-Time Password (OTP), provided that the year of birth of the person matches in both documents.

Change in spellings
