How EPFO Subscribers Can Use The UMANG App For PF Related Services?

Hailed as the master app providing a host of government services from central, state, local authorities and government agencies on the web, app, sms and IVR facility, UMANG App was conceptualized as a one-stop platform for Indian citizens. Conceptualised by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with National e-Governance Division (NeGD, UMANG or Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance has now been tapped by the retirement fund body to provide you a host of PF related services.

So, to access your PF details and also to check on claim status, you can download the app from Google Play Store, iOS and EPFO's home page also hosts a link for 'UMANG' at the right hand corner that allows you to download the app.

The App provides EPFO subscribers primarily 3 services for which the users need to link their Aadhaar with the EPF account. However the passbook view feature is also available to individuals who decide not to link their pension account with Aadhaar but for the other two services i.e to make the claim for withdrawal of pension amount, in part or final settlement and also to check the status of the claim previously made the linking with Aadhaar is a mandate.

As of now, the Umang App does not provides the facility to make a transfer request from your last EPF account to the new account.

The earlier m-EPF app available on the Playstore app for EPFO services has been removed and EPF subscribers in coming times can expect a host of other PF services on UMANG including aadhaar seeding, pension-specific services and nomination facility among others.
