CNG, one of the fuel forms available in today’s markets has its own merits and demerits. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) was introduced in April 2001 in India, as the public transport in Delhi was amended by the Supreme Court of India to use CNG in the place of petrol and diesel. Pocket Friendly
CNG cars are affordable and pocket friendly when compared to hybrids, petrol and diesel-run engines. The cost of CNG-fitted vehicles will be generally Rs 80,000 – Rs 90,000 more for the factory-fitted CNG kit options. On the other hand, petrol and diesel-run vehicles are costlier in the range of Rs 1.50 lakhs to Rs 2 lakhs.
