YEAR EVENTS
1992 - The company was incorporated on 29th January as a Public Limited Company
under the Companies Act, 1956 and obtained the Certificate of Commencement
of business on 10th February.

- The main object of the Company is to manufacture 15 LCKM of Jelly Filled
Communication Cables by a single stream plant in collaboration with :ESSEX
Group Inc., of USA.

1995 - The Company public issue of 67,99,500 No. of equity shares of Rs. 10/- each for
cash aggregating Rs. 705 lacs, comprising 8,35,000 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each
at a premium of Rs. 3/- aggregating Rs. 108.55 lacs and 59,64,500 equity shares
of Rs. 10/- each for cash at par aggregating Rs. 596.45 lacs was made during the year.

- Sri G.V.B.R. Reddy, Director of the Company retires by rotation and being eligible
offer himself for re-appointment.

1999 - Sarvashri.S.M.Prasad, M.Bhaskar Rao and Dr.Gandhiji Yalamanchili, Directors of
the Company retire by rotation and being eligible offer themselves for re-appointment.

2000

-The Company have passed a resolution allotting 1,60,00,000 warrants convertible into equity shares on preferential basis to the persons other than promoters and promoter's group.

-The Company has entered into agreements with National Securities Depository Limited and Central Depository Securities Limited

2003

-GR Cables has launched manufacture of Halogen free flame retardant Cables,

-GR Cables sets up a fully owned subsidiary in Sri Lanka known as Gold Island Cables Pvt Ltd, which will target on manufacturing of telecom and power cables.

2004

-G.R. Cables has developed and manufactured halogen-free cables of international standards at competitive cost.

2005

-GR Cables bags 120 million order from BSNL for PIJF cables.

-The Company has bagged an order for Rs 50 million from BSNL for PIJF cables in addition to Rs 120 million order recently received from BSNL.

-GR Cables launches power cables for Electricity Boards

-GR Cables launches CAT 6 higher bandwidth carrying Ian cable

-GR Cables receives orders worth Rs 1.4 cr for its new range of cables

-GR Cables secures order worth Rs 9.30 mn for PIJF & Switch Board Cables

-The Company has received its first order for Rs 3 million for its special range of power cables from Northern Power Distribution Company Ltd.
