Diana Tea Company Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

DTCL was incorporated on the 26th day of August, 1911 under
the Indian Companies Act VI of 1882 with the main object of
carrying on tea business which includes, inter alia,
cultivation, manufacturing and selling of tea. The company
was promoted by Nawab Gulam Jabbar & family and originally
owned one tea estate namely the Diana Tea Estate. The
Company was taken over by the present owners i.e. the
Singhania family of Calcutta in 1976. The Company acquired
one more tea estate namely Baintgoorie Tea Estate from
Duncans in 1983. The Company is now operating the above two
tea gardens and both the tea gardens are located in the
district of Jalpaiguri of West Bengal.

The Company has a track record of excellent industrial
relations. So far, the Company has not lost a single man
hour due to labour problems. There is no ending legal
disputes in respect of labour.

2005

2008

2011
- Diana Tea Company Ltd has recommended dividend of Rs. 0.75 (i.e. 15%) per Equity Share of Rs. 5/- each fully paid up of the Company.

2012
- Diana Tea Company Ltd has recommended dividend of Rs. 0.50 (i.e. 10%) per Equity Share of Rs. 5/- each fully paid up of the Company.

2013
- Diana Tea Company Ltd has recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.25.

2014
- Diana Tea Company Ltd has recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.25/- per share (Face value of Rs. 5/- per share).
