The company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company at Ahmedabad on 7th August, 1984. It was converted into a Public Limited Company on 29th October, 1988. It was promoted by "Guptas" who are in the Textile Industry for more than 25 years.

The company manufactures synthetic fabrics and yarn.

The company has factories at Surat and at Silvassa where it carries on texturising , twisting , dyeing, of yarn and weaving of fabrics. Of the above, plants located at Kimmand at Silvassa are both in notified backward areas. Hi-tech machines of both foreign and Indian Make such as uptwisters and texturising machines are installed in the plant.

The company's products are marketed under the trade name "GUPTA".

- The Company has received Niryat Rattan Award from Indian Council for Small & Medium Exporters

- The Company has received Udyog Rattan & Excellency Award from Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi.
