Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

The company was incorporated as Mishra Dhatu Nigam Private Limited with the RoC on November 20, 1973 under the Companies Act, 1956. Being a Government Company, the word private was deleted from name of the company by the RoC on June 15, 1974 by virtue of GSR No. 1234 dated December 30, 1958 issued by Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by section 620(1) of the Companies Act, 1956. The status of the Company was changed from a private limited company to deemed public limited company under the provisions of Section 43A with effect from July 01, 1983. The status of the company was changed from deemed public company to a private limited company after notification of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000 and the word private was not inserted in the certificate of incorporation by virtue of the GSR No. 1234 dated December 30, 1958 issued by the Central Government. the company was converted into a public limited company pursuant to a special resolution passed in the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the company held on October 27, 2017 and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated November 13, 2017 bearing CIN U14292TG1973GOI001660 was issued by the RoC.

- Development of bio implants from Titanium alloys

2001

- Development Niobium alloy required for critical space applications

2002

- Supply of indigenized special fasteners commenced

2005

- Development of large forgings of Chromium

-Molybdenum steel in the form of weld neck flanges, blind flanges etc.

2006

- Development of gun barrel forgings.

2008

- Achieved Mini Ratna category-1 status from MoD

2009

- Commencement of commercial production of 6.5 metric tonnes vacuum induction melting furnace

2010

- Commissioning of critical equipment like 10 tonnes vacuum arc re-melting furnace

2011

- Implementation of the e-Procurement portal for publishing and processing tenders online.

- Signatory to UN Global Compact Initiative

2014

- Commissioning of 6000 tonnes forge press and electron beam melting furnace

2015

- Commissioning of in-house designed 20 tonnes electro slag refining furnace and 10 tonnes vacuum arc re-melting furnace

- Awarded ÂExcellentÂ rating with a score of 97.06%, which is the best amongst all the defence PSUs and ranks among top 5% of all companies signing such MoUs with the Department of Defence Production

2016

- Commissioning of 20 tonnes electric arc furnace

2017

-MIDHANI inks MoU with Department of Defence Production.

2021

-"MIDHANI and HAL sign MoU for Collaboration for Development and Production of Composites Raw Materials".
