Rushabh Precision Bearings Limited was originally incorporated as a private limited company on 21-08-1989 by Shri Dhirajlal H. Vora and his son, Shri Rajesh D. Vora. It was later converted into a Public Limited Company w.e.f. 5.9.1994. The Promoters are mainly dealing in bearings
manufactured by ZVL-ZKL Co. Ltd. Czechoslovakia, as its Sole selling Agents in India. The Promoters, after establishment of manufacturing units, have been authorised by ZVL-ZKL to print "DESIGN AND COMPONENTS BY ZVL-ZKL CZECHOSLOVAKIA" on cartons till imported components are used.

RPBL, established facilities for manufacture of precision bearings, i.e. mainly for heat treatment and machining of components. Installed capacity of the plant is 8,00,000 bearings per annum. The plant went into commercial production in October, 1991. The machined components are
fitted with an imported cage and rollers. The company is marketing its products under brand name "SRS". The Company presently manufactures the bearing rings (inner and outer), while the rolling elements and cages are being imported from ZVL-ZKL Czechoslovakia. Of the locally manufactured bearings sold, indegeneous components comprised 16.20% and
imported components 83.80%.

The Group turnover has improved from about Rs.5.30 Crores in 1992 to Rs.14.03 Crores in 1993. During the year ended March 1994, the turnover improved to Rs.14.74 Crores. The net profits during the year amount to Rs.47.27 Lacs.

The production/capacity utilisation was around 23.6% in 1992 and 34.15% in 1993. However, during 1994, in view of the change in the design of the bearings, the capacity utilisation came down considerably to about 3.25%.

The sales of manufactured bearings have improved from about 48,156 in 1992 to 83,725 in 1993 and further to 1,43,043 in 1994. The production and sales of bearings during the year ended 31st March, 1995 were 2,54,761 and 2,26,052 and for 3 months ended 30.06.95 are 63,796 and 74,384 respectively.

The company had not faced/is facing any labour problems and there was no closure of the unit.

Mechanical Engineers & Manufacturing of Machinery, vehicles of all kind whether self propelled or otherwise tool makers, brass founders, mill wrights machinists iron & steel converters,
smith metallurgist and merchants & to buy sell manufacture, repair, convert, alter, let on hire & deal in machinery implements rolling stock and hardware of all kinds.
