Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises Limited was established as a Corporate Body in the year 1933 under the name "The Upper Doab Sugar Mills Limited" by the Rt.Hon'ble Sir Shadi Lal. Sir Shadi Lal's sons, Lala Rajendra Lal and Lala Narendra Lal successfully carried the vision of their father. They were highly qualified having studied in India and abroad. In 1982, the name of company was changed to Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises Limited. In 1985, Lala Rajendra Lal passed away and the responsibility came to the shoulders of Lala Narendra Lal of taking the Company forward. During their tenure, the Company's business prospered and manufacturing capacities of all the units were enhanced substantially. In 2001, Lala Narendra Lal passed away, and the responsibility of taking the Company forward was handed over to Ms. Rupa Lal,and Mr. Rajat Lal, as Managing Directors. In 2002, Mr.K.B.Lal, who was working since 1975 as Secretary and Senior Executive Director, was appointed member of the Board, and Whole-time Director of the Company. In 2004, after the untimely death of Ms. Rupa Lal, her nephew, Mr. Vivek Viswanathan, joined the Company as a Whole-time Director. With the untiring efforts of all of them, the Company has become one of the efficient and modern entities in Western Uttar Pradesh. All the working Directors of the Company are well qualified and have an excellent understanding of the operation of the Company. At present the Company has three manufacturing units comprising of one sugar unit and two distillery units. SUGAR UNIT The Company started its business with a Sugar Factory, Upper Doab Sugar Mills with a cane crushing capacity of 600 TCD per day at Shamli, Distt. Muzaffarnagar (U.P.). Shamli is about 40 kms. from Distt. Muzaffarnagar (UP), about 70 Kms. from Distt. Sahar anpur(UP) and about 100 kms. from Delhi. The Company has been constantly modernizing plant & machinery, in stages by adopting the latest technology.The major expansion projects taken up by the Company at various stages for the Sugar Mill at Shamli are summari- zed below:- Year Expansion to TCD 1936-1937 1200 1956-1957 3000 1962-1963 3810 1997-1998 5000 2005-2006 6250 As a result of constant modernization and expansion, the crushing capacity of the Sugar Mill Plant at Shamli has increased to the present level of 6250 TCD per day. DISTILLERY UNITS 1.Shamli Distillery & Chemical Works Shamli Distillery unit was installed at Shamli, Dist. Muzaffarnagar (U.P.)in the year 1945 with an installed capacity of 6.60 lakhs gallons per annum.Subsequently the capacity was increased in stages as detailed below to reach its present level of 16.20 lakhs gallons per annum. At present, the unit can produce more than 2 Million cases per annum. and is producing Indian Made Foreign Liquor, Country Liquor, Rectified Spirit, Denatured Spirit, Anhydrous Alcohol & Extra Neutral Alcohol. The unit has also been selling standard quality of Rectified Spirit & Extra Neutral Alcohol to various distilleries in Uttar Pradesh and other States for production of Indian Made Foreign Liquor & Country Liquor brands in the Country. To produce and supply the Anhydrous Ethanol the unit has also installed an Anhydrous Ethanol Plant. 2. Pilkhani Distillery & Chemical Works Pilkhani Distillery unit was installed at Pilkhani, Dist. Saharanpur (U.P.) in the year 1959 with an installed capacity of 10.00 lakhs gallons per annum for production of spirits. This distillery unit is well connected by road and train. It is about 8 kms. from Saharanpur, which is a big city. Subsequently, the capacity of this unit was increased to reach its present level of 24 lakhs gallons per annum. At present the unit can produce more than 3 Million cases per annum. This distillery unit has also been selling standard quality of Rectified Spirit & Extra Neutral Alcohol to various distilleries in Uttar Pradesh and other States for production of Indian Made Foreign Liquor & Country Liquor brands in the Country. To produce and supply the Anhydrous Ethanol the unit installed an Anhydrous Ethanol Plant. 2007 -The Company has acquired the Sugar Mill. 2010 -Sir Shadilal Enterprises has recommended the payment of dividend @ Rs. 2/- per equity share of equity share capital. 2012 -Sir Shadilal Enterprises appointed Shri Pramod Kumar Goyal as Company Secretary cum Compliance Officer of the Company. 2013 -Sir Shadilal Enterprises Start of Crushing Operations by the Sugar Mills. 2014 -Sir Shadilal Enterprises appointed Mr. Pramod Kumar Goyal as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. |
