The Company was originally incorporated on November 29, 1945 under the Companies Act, 1913. SURAT TEXTILE MILLS LIMITED is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of polyester filament yarn, polyester chips and spun yarn.

The Company has its manufacturing facilities situated at:-1) Village Vareli, Taluka Palsana, Dist. Surat. 2) Village Jolwa, Taluka Palsana, Dist. Surat. 3) Survey No. 285, Village Khadoli,Silvasa Khanvel Road, Silvassa (DHN).Â

2003

-The company was ranked 491st in Business Barons- Global Data Services of India's list of India's 500 Most Outstanding Companies.

-The company had ranked 888th in the 12th Business Today list of India's most valuable private sector companies.

2004

-Company had received a composite score of 11 out of a possible 15 in Industry 2.0's SCM Metrics study.
