Frank Otto's career has been marked by numerous achievements in the media and entertainment industry. He is widely regarded as a pioneer in private radio and television in Germany. Some of his notable career highlights include:

• Founded OK Radio (now HAMBURG ZWEI) in 1987 and served as its majority shareholder.
• Co-founded the European music television channel VIVA in 1993, partnering with Time Warner and Sony Television.
• Established Hamburg 1, one of the first private regional television stations in Germany, in 1995.
• Involved with various radio and TV stations, including delta radio, Radio NORA, 98.8 KISS FM Berlin, Energy Saxony, and RauteMusik.FM.
• Served as the managing director of Film Manufacturers GmbH, Germany, alongside Kathrin Lohmann.
• Composed the soundtrack for his sister Katharina Otto-Bernstein's award-winning film, Beautopia.
