Lanco bags international EPC order worth Rs 365 cr
Lanco Infratech (LITL) was represented by Kishore Vaid, Sr Vice President, Business Development, LITL – EPC Division. The government of Iraq was represented by Director General Sabih of Ministry of Electricity, Govt of Iraq. Raad Al Haris, Sr Deputy Electricity Minister, was also present on the occasion.
The company, LITL, is expected to build gas based thermal power plant. The gas turbine generator will be supplied by General Electric International. The project is scheduled to be completed in 16 months.
Commenting on winning the contract, Mr. L Madhusudhan Rao, Executive Chairman, LITL, stated: “This is a major milestone for us as it is in line with our strategy to win the external contracts." He further added that the company has also received contracts for 1,200 MW Thermal EPC order from Moser Baer Group Company, BoP order from Mahagenco for their 1,980 MW Koradi Thermal power plant near Nagpur and also 75 MW solar EPC order from Mahagenco recently.
With this, the order backlog for the LITL group on consolidated basis is Rs 30,900 crore. This is the total value of unexecuted orders as of March 31, 2011 and new orders since then.
