Shares of the ACC Ltd gained more than 2 per cent on Wednesday after the company said that it has resumed limestone mining operations at Bargarh with effect from June 17, 2015.
The impact of the closure was not material since cement grinding continued with transfer of clinker from sister works/purchase of clinker, the company said in the BSE filing.
Earlier, on October 10, 2014 there ws suspension of limestone mining operations at the Company's Bargarh Cement Works.
For the March quarter the company reported net profit of Rs 240.55 crore, lower 39.67 per cent, against Rs 398.73 crore in the corresponding quarter a last year.
The company shares were seen trading at Rs 1,420, higher by 2.39 per cent on BSE at 2.55 pm IST. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,423 during the trade.
