Markets Open Lower Ahead Of Sept F&O Expiry
Benchmark indices opened the day lower ahead of the expiry for the F&O series for Oct. Weak cues from Asia also pushed the benchmark indices lower in trade.

The Sensex was trading with losses of 92 points, while the Nifty lost 24 points in trade. Leading the set of losers were HDFC, Vedanta, HDFC Bank and Hero Motor Corp.
Shares in Coal India fell after reports that the company may have to revise its Rs 60,000 crore capital expenditure plan because of land acquisition worries.
Shares in L&T dropped almost one per cent after its Chairman hinted at stagnation of orders. Mid cap stocks also saw some selling pressure with stocks like Concor and Zee among the early losers in trade. However,
Union Bank and Cadilla Heath were among the gainers from the space. Meanwhile, markets across Asia were trading mostly lower led by losses in the Nikkei, which opened after three days of public holidays. The index was down almost 2.2 per cent in trade.
