Cipla Shares Gain As Company Receives EIR From US FDA
Shares in Cipla rallied in a falling market, after the company said that it has received Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the US FDA for its Indore facility, indicating formal closure of the US FDA inspection conducted in July/August, 2015.
The shares of Cipla were up 1.2 per cent at Rs 588 on the NSE.
Cipla's emphasis on access for patients was recognised globally for the pioneering role played in HIV/AIDS treatment as the first pharmaceutical company to provide a triple combination anti-retroviral (ARV) in Africa at less than a dollar a day and thereby treating many millions of patients since 2001.
