HDFC Bank, the second largest private sector bank in the country, reported a strong set of results, largely on expected lines.
Net profit at the bank rose to 20 per cent to Rs 4,151 crore for the three-months period ending September 20, 2017.
Gross bad loans for the quarter rose 6.3 percent to Rs 7,703 crore sequentially, the country's largest lender by market value said in an exchange filing. Gross Non Performing Assets at the bank stood at 1.26 percent of total assets, as compared to 1.24 percent in the previous quarter.
