Hero MotoCorp Reports 35% Growth in Q4 Net Profit
Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported a 34.8 percent increase in net profit at Rs 967.40 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) on 2017-18 than Rs 717.75 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
In a stock exchange filing, Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported a 34.8 percent increase in net profit at Rs 967.40 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) on 2017-18 than Rs 717.75 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The revenue for the March 2018 ended quarter was at Rs 8,564.04 crore, which is 14.25 percent higher in YoY (year-on-year) basis than Rs 7,495.68 crore in January-March 2017 quarter.
The EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) was at Rs 1,317 crore for the January-March 2018 quarter, while the EBITDA margin stood at 16 percent.
Hero MotoCorp sold over 20 lakh units in the quarter under review. As a part of its strategic involvement with the external companies, it has made Rs. 201 crore investment in Ather Energy for 30 percent equity. Ather will start retailing electric scooters.
