M&M Profits Increase By 50% To Rs. 1,155 Cr; Higher Than Street Estimates

As per the exchange notification, the auto maker has reported a higher profit of Rs. 1155 crore with an increase of 50% over the same period a year ago. The company recorded an exceptional gain to the tune of Rs. 47.86 crore.

The company's revenue came in higher at 25.6% at Rs. 13, 189 crore due to boost by the farm equipment segment.

Operating income or EBIT increased 70.4% on a half-yearly basis to Rs. 1,995 crore. Operating margin also increased from 11.2% to 15.1%.

Segment wise, the farm equipment segment raked in revenue worth Rs. 3,716 crore for the auto-major. While from the automotive segment, the company reported revenue of Rs. 9,316 crore.

The stock of M&M ended the day with gains of 2.26% at Rs. 268.8 on the BSE.
