HUL Q2FY19 Profit Increases 19% To Rs. 1525 crore
Hindustan Unilever (HUL), a leading FMCG company, on Friday posted 19% percent increase in profit after tax at Rs 1,525 crore.
For the quarter ended September, revenue stood at Rs 9,138 crore vs Rs. 8,199 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the quarter under review, consumer business of the company reported 12% jump in growth led by uptick in volume at 10%. In the quarter ended June 2018, the company reported volume growth of 12% while in the September 2017 quarter, the volume growth came in at 4%.
In a regulatory filing, the FMCG major said Ebitda margin during the quarter also increased by 160 basis points. One basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point.
The stock of HUL in today's session closed higher by 2.63% at Rs.1568.65 on the BSE.
