Pharma major Pfizer in Thursday's intra-day made a day's high of Rs. 2958 on the BSE, surging as much as 3% over yesterday's close of Rs. 2878.75. Nonetheless, in the afternoon trade, much of the gains were lost and the stock was last trading lower by 0.28% at Rs. 2870.55 on the BSE.

The company has formed a joint venture with GlaxoSmithKline to establish a a premier global consumer healthcare company.
Meanwhile, Sensex tracking global markets lost after seven straight days of gains after the Fed hiked interest rate and hinted at slowing down its policy tightening measures for the new year.
Rupee also opened lowered in trade but was last seen trading with gains of as much as 37 paise at 70.03 per dollar. Bond yield also in line surged to 7.26%.
