The shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) climbed higher by as much as 5.5% in early morning trade after the company announced strong quarterly numbers for the third quarter of FY19.
ONGC Scrip Surges By Over 6% After Reporting Robust Q3FY19 Earnings
Net profit of the company for the third quarter stood at Rs. 8,263 crore, 65% higher in comparison to the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Gross revenue of the company also surged 20.4% y-o-y to Rs 27,694 crore.
The board also approved an interim dividend of Rs 5.5 per share.
The company made an intra-day high of Rs. 140.80 on the BSE and last quoted at Rs. 140.50, higher by 6.36% against previous day closing of Rs. 132.1.
