Britannia, Kolkata-based company has today entered into the prestigious Nifty pack and replaced the oil-retailing company HPCL. The replacement will also be applicable to Nifty 50 Equal Weight Index.
Britannia Substitutes HPCL In Nifty Pack; Stock Gains
The indices are reconstituted twice every year based on data for six months ending January and July.
After the re-jig, the stock of Britannia has rallied as much as 3% and recorded a day's high of Rs. 3139 on the NSE, while the day's low has been recorded at Rs. 3045. In the previous trading session, the stock closed at Rs. 3096.55.
