IndiGo To Launch 6 New International Flights

On Monday, budget airline IndiGo announced its decision to launch six new international flights that will connect Mumbai and New Delhi with Middle-Easter countries.

The new flights to be introduced will connect Delhi with Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Mumbai to Kuwait from 25 July. It was also add its third non-stop daily flight connecting Mumbai to Dubai from 5 August.

The low-cost carrier in a statement said, "Effective July 25 and August 5, IndiGo will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Delhi with Jeddah, and Mumbai with Kuwait."

"Additionally, to cater to the increasing demand from the sector, the airline will also launch its third non-stop daily flights between Mumbai and Dubai," it added.

"These new routes once again reflect our unflinching commitment towards expanding our international operations," said William Boulter, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo.

In the last week, private domestic carriers GoAir and Vistara also added international flights to the network. The Tata-group backed airline, Vistara, will commence its international operations in August with flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Singapore.

GoAir expanded its international network by adding flights that connect to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok and Muscat.

Meanwhile, Air India launched the first international commercial flight from Madhya Pradesh. The national carrier launched a flight to Dubai from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport with 150 passengers.
