Bengaluru Power Cut On December 7: BESCOM Carries 7-Hours Power Outage; Timings & Affected Areas List

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) is carrying out a 7-hour-long power outage on December 7, due to maintenance work undertaken by Kavi Pranini at the power receiving stations. The work is being held from 10 am to 5 pm at 66/11 kV sub-stations.

In its notification, BESCOM said, "There will be a disruption in the supply of electricity to all the rural areas of these taluks, including Gudibande and Bagepalli towns, which are supplied by these power substations."

BESCOM asked residents to Peresandra, Mandikal and other surrounding areas of Chikkaballapur taluk to cooperate.

Also, BESCOM declared that Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will carry a power outage for 7 hours to 8 hours.

Through their X handle, BESCOM said, "Be careful with electricity and always follow safety measures," the authority added. Apart from this, several regions of Bengaluru is also expected to witness moderate to heavy rain in the upcoming days, leading to waterlogging and power outages. The authority has advised the fishermen to maintain a distance from the water bodies and limit their financial activities to avoid inconveniences."
