Bengaluru Power Cut On November 21: BESCOM Declares 8-Hour-Long Power Outage; Full Affected Areas List

Bengaluru Power Cut Today: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has declared maintenance work at one of its 66/11 KV power distribution centers. Due to this, residents in Devarabelakere and surrounding areas will face a whopping 8-hour-long power outage on November 21, Friday.

Bengaluru Power Cut Today:

As per BESCOM's notification, an emergency maintenance will be carried out at the 66/11 KV power distribution center of Malebennur, Devarabelakere branch.

The maintenance work will commence from 10 am to 6 pm of Friday. Hence, residents in the surrounding areas may get impacted with shortage or outage of electricity.

- Satyanarayana Camp

- Salakatte

- Mitlakatte

- IP Zone

- Malebennur

- Halivana

- Koppa

- Dibbadahalli

- Mallanaikanahalli

- Guddadebevinahalli

- Sanklipura

- Nanditavare

- Kumbalur

- Kunibelakere

- Chandrarao Camp

- Basaveshwara Camp

- Bhaskar Rao Camp

- Kumbalur

What To Do During Power Outages:

Here are some of the tips to practice during planned power outages:

- Keep your inverters, emergency lights, phones, and power banks charged to the full before the outage.

- Since the power outage will be from 10 am to 6 pm, schedule your daily chores accordingly. Notably, for usage of any appliance like water pumps, washing machines, microwaves, or a mixer, it is better to be done before power cut.

- Keep a storage of sufficient water both for drinking and other purposes.

- Prepare your meals prior to the outage.

In Karnataka state, BESCOM has taken over the responsibility from KPTCL for the distribution of electricity in 8 districts and commenced its operations from 1st June 2002.
