Bengaluru power shutdown is most commonly scheduled in Whitefield, KR Puram, Marathahalli, and Mahadevapura, Yelahanka, Hebbal, JP Nagar, Jayanagar, etc.
The planned power interruption due to BESCOM maintenance work will affect areas in easter, northern, and southern Bengaluru. Localities linked to feeders under maintenance are likely to see temporary blackouts, while nearby layouts connected to the same substations may also face brief supply dips during the maintenance window.

"Due to maintenance work being carried out by the electricity supply company, power supply will be disrupted in several parts of Tumakuru city on the 8th from 10 am to 6 pm," read a post by BESCOM on X.
The affected areas include B.B. Nagar, H.T. Line, C.T. Betta, Gang Nagar, DC Office area, Heggere Road, Kalpataru Nagar, Siddaganga Mutt Road, Tippu Nagar, and nearby localities.
Bengaluru Power Cut For Maintenance Work
Ahead of the summer season, the planned power cuts let BESCOM to carry out the mandatory maintenance work and system upgrade programmes. The power shutdown windo helps in carrying out maintenance work related to transformers, replace ageing underground and overhead cables, repair feeder lines, and strengthen the wider distribution network.
These scheduled power cuts in the Karnataka capital also help in improving long-term reliability and reduce chances of sudden failures, especially during summer months. Without periodic checks and upgrades, faults on overloaded lines could lead to longer and more widespread unplanned outages.
