Telecom major Bharti Airtel in its earnings results for the quarter ending March 2020 announced today reported a net loss of Rs. 5237 crore. In the previous quarter, the company posted a combined loss of Rs. 1035.3 crore, while in the same quarter last year the telecom player reported profit to the tune of Rs. 107.2 crore.

In December, the company raised tariff rates and its full impact was seen during the period under review.
The consolidated revenue at the firm rose 15% to Rs 23,723 crore versus Rs 21,947.1 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 20,602.2 crore in March 2019.
The company's ARPU or Average revenue per user was 154 during the March ended quarter as against 123 in the year-ago period.
Bharti Airtel shares ahead of its March quarterly results of FY 20 ended 2.9% lower at Rs. 538.05 on the NSE.
