Gold Price Declines In India For 3rd Day, July 20: 24k/100 Grams Gold Slips By Rs 10,300 In 3-Days

Gold prices in India today declined for 3rd day in a row as Federal Reserve likely to slash US interest rates in September. 22K gold prices today in India slipped by Rs 350 to Rs 67,800/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today fell by Rs 3500 to Rs 6,78,000. 24k gold prices today in the country stood at Rs 73,970/10 grams after dip of Rs 380 while 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices fell by Rs 3800 to settle at Rs 7,39,700 on Saturday.

18k gold prices today dived by Rs 280 to Rs 55,480/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices turned cheaper by Rs 2800 to Rs 5,54,800 on July 20.

Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold slipped 0.4% at $2,434.38 per ounce, as of 0047 GMT, after hitting an all-time high of $2,483.60 on Wednesday. Prices surged 1% for the week. Spot silver declined 1.4% to $29.65 per ounce, platinum fell 0.6% at $961.80 and palladium dipped 0.3% to $927.20.

According to Reuters, "Official announcement of the Fed's easing of monetary policy is expected to further boost gold prices. Consequently, prices could potentially reach a record $3,000 by autumn 2024," said Julia Khandoshko, CEO at European broker Mind Money.

Earlier this week, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said recent inflation readings "add somewhat to confidence" that the pace of price increases is returning to the central bank's target in a sustainable fashion, suggesting a turn to rate cuts may not be far off, added the Reuters report.

Silver Prices Today In India: Silver prices in India witnessed sharped fall in July as prices fell by Rs 1750 to Rs 91,500/kg on July 20. 100 grams silver prices today declined by Rs 175 to Rs 9,150.
